This vibrant wallpaper mural depicts Paul Gauguin’s bold and colorful oil painting “The Siesta.” Gauguin was greatly impressed by the natural beauty and relaxed nature of Tahitian women. He spent a long time working on this painting, making several changes. For example, the woman’s skirt was originally bright red, there was a dog where the basket is now, and the woman on the porch was originally seated further to the left.
