What is a mil?

A mil is a unit of measure that describes the thickness of a single sheet of wall covering (paper, vinyl or fabric). One mil is equal to one-thousandth of an inch. Therefore 6 mil is thicker than 5 mil.

While many manufacturers sell 2-3 mil wall coverings, we offer high quality products ranging from 5-9 mil for our Peel & Stick wall coverings and 10 mil for our Traditional Non-pasted wallpaper and Commercial Type II vinyl.

Type II Certified Non-Pasted Vinyl

Non-woven material ideal for commercial buildings like schools, hotels, hospitals, restaurants, and damp environments like bathrooms. 

• 10 mil thickness
• Requires glue (not included) for a “paste the wall” application
• High fire rating
• Textures: smooth, linen, and artist canvas
• Cleaning: Every day dirt and smudges can be removed by using a mild soap with warm water and sponge or soft cloth.
