Description

Abbott Handerson Thayer is celebrated for his dreamy depictions of angels, women, children, landscapes, and intricate floral artwork. “Angel” is not only a likeness of his daughter Mary at eleven years old, but also symbolizes hope and spirituality. Thayer achieved his unique effects by working with unconventional tools such as brooms, scrapers, his hands, and even paint tubes. The frame, influenced by Renaissance design and referred to as a tabernacle style, was custom-made for this piece by American architect Stanford White.

Jitterbug offers this exquisite piece as a wallpaper mural, allowing you to bring its serene and uplifting beauty into your home. Displaying “Angel” on your wall will infuse your space with a sense of tranquility and inspiration, creating a focal point that evokes both the innocence of childhood and the depth of spiritual contemplation.
