Paul Cezanne created this painting during his first long visit to Auvers-sur-Oise, France, where he learned from impressionist artist Camille Pissarro. We are thrilled to offer it now as a wallpaper mural. Cezanne depicted an unconventional viewpoint, showing the rooftops of Auvers-sur-Oise and the distant countryside. He used bold, energetic colors and rough brushstrokes, especially noticeable at the lower left and center, to convey not just what the landscape looked like, but also the experience of seeing and painting it.
