Description

This pattern, created by Morris in 1878, was designed for the drawing room walls of his home, Kelmscott House in Hammersmith, London. His family lived there from 1878 until his death in 1896. After Morris & Company began making textiles at Merton Abbey in 1881, this pattern continued to be produced in three colors. Morris called it “woven wool tapestry,” but it’s actually a doublecloth. When used as a wall covering, like at Kelmscott House, this heavy wool fabric shows Morris’ style in decorative arts of that time.

Jitterbug is excited to offer this pattern as a wallpaper mural. The design adjusts in size according to the dimensions of your wall.
