Description

Abbot Handerson Thayer (1849-1921) was an American artist and naturalist renowned for his paintings of angels, landscapes, and wildlife, particularly birds. Thayer believed that animal coloration, even if striking, served to camouflage them in their natural habitats through a concept he termed “countershading.” He argued that even bright pink flamingos could blend seamlessly into a similarly colored sky at sunset or sunrise. This striking Jitterbug wallpaper mural of Thayer’s “Red Flamingos” was part of his studies on camouflage and will add a striking splash of color to your space.
